Lewis Hamilton – 5 Times Formula 1 World Champion

A press conference was held for Lewis Hamilton, newly 5 times Formula 1 World Champion promoted by Petronas, sponsor of Mercedes of Formula 1 at Palacio Tangara in Sao Paulo on 7th of November,2018 few days before the Brazilian GP at Interlagos Autodrome,Sao Paulo. Hamilton has won this title with the 4th position at the Mexican GP even before winning the Brazilian GP on 11th of November.

The story isn’t just easy for the 33 years old driver as he actually started a long way back.He started with the Mercedes at the age of 13 and has continued till now being able to be five times winner in his 12th season making him the third formula 1 driver to be in that category along sideJuan Manuel Fangio and Michael Schumacher.Hamilton and Schumacher won their 5th title at the age of 33 and in their 12th season in 2002 and 2018 respectively while Juan Fangio won his 5th and last title in his 7th season in 1957 at the age of 46 also for the Mercedes.Schumacher is the only driver with 7 world champion and we shouldn’t forget about two other four times world champions; Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel, who is still racing in the Formula 1.Would Vettel be able to draw with Hamilton next year? Well, that’s something to watch out for.One thing is for sure according to Hamilton in his own words regarding his victory –

“It’s a very strange feeling right now. It wasn’t won here, it was won through a lot of hard work through many races,” said Hamilton.

“I’ve been with Mercedes since I was 13 so to complete this – Fangio had done it with Mercedes – it’s an incredible feeling and very surreal at the moment.”
