Beija Flor samba school won the Carnival Parade of Rio de Janeiro with 269.60 points leaving Tuiuti and Salgueiro samba schools in 2nd  and 3rd positions each with 269.50.The big surprise was Tuiuti coming in 2nd place.Beija Flor had  a wonderful presentation, depicting the critical situation of Brazil in its theme;the political corruption,crime in Rio de Janeiro and others and not to forget about the music and song itself sung by Neguinho and others.However, two samba schools ; Grande Rio and Imperio were relegated.
