About 27 people killed and 2,500 injured in two explosions in Beirut.

Two big explosions hit the port of Beirut this Tuesday, 4th of August, causing about 27 deaths and 2,500 injured in what has been described as nothing as ever seen before.

The deafening explosions with a big blast of smoke, caused many damages, destroying buildings and causing confusion in the city. Many casualties and corpses are left in the destroyed buildings giving lots of works to health workers with their ambulances as they lift dead bodies away from the scene.

Until now, the cause of the explosions hasn’t been confirmed but it might be because of some confiscated highly explosive materials stored in a warehouse at the port according to
General Security chief Abbas Ibrahim.

There is mourning everywhere, people are looking for their loved ones, some trapped in the debris, shaking buildings, over crowded hospitals, cars are lying on top of each other , buildings’ windows shattered and the Prime Minister Hasan Diab has declared Wednesday as a day of mourning in the country .
