The biggest metropolis in Latin America, São Paulo, received the first Ecuadorian restaurant “Mitad Del Mundo” in Brooklyn, on October 15th, 2021. This is a big breakthrough for Ecuadorian people getting their culture across to the world.
The restaurant is owned by businessman Gustavo Xavier Diaz and the well known Ecuadorian chef, Juan José Martinez Duenas who have chosen São Paulo as the first place for the first ever Ecuadorian restaurant in the Latin America.

In an extroverted night, guests were having Ecuadorian menu of seafoods like shrimps, fish, some empanadas and tasty soups with drinks like wine, Gin, mojito.
The guests were very much in love with the food and among whom were, the consul of Ecuador in Brazil, Marco Larrea, the Ambassador of Ecuador to Brazil, Carlos Alberto Velastegui, social media influencer and partner of the restaurant Jonathas Groscove, the presidente of OBME Association, Lilian Schiavo, soccer player Robert Arboleda and others.

During the night, the restaurant owners, Gustavo Xavier Diaz and Chef Juan José Martinez Duenas spoke to the guests about the pleasure of bringing the Ecuadorian culture to Brazilian people and to provide jobs for unemployed people. The Ambassador and the Consul also spoke about how great and important it is to have an Ecuadorian restaurant in Brazil.
