2 Weeks Complete Ban of Any Gatherings in Egypt Due to COVID-19, Says Prime Minister Madbouly.

The Prime Minister of Egypt, Mostafa Madbouly announced on May 5, some measures and restrictions to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

According to him, any public gatherings are prohibited from May 6 to 21 and efforts would be made to contain the spread of COVID-19 in Egypt.

Beaches, parks and public gardens would be completely closed and a complete ban on any gatherings, celebrations or conferences during the two weeks period.

Also, shops, malls, restaurants and cinemas will be closed at 9 pm to limit coronavirus spread.
Strict precautionary measures to be followed during Eid al-Fitr prayers in major mosques.
The Eid al-Fitr holiday is from Wednesday May 12 until Sunday 16 May.

Significantly, tens of millions of doses of Corona vaccine will be available for Egyptians this year.
The plan is to have 5 million doses of Corona vaccine during the month of May.

Moreover, there would a daily follow-up from President El-Sisi to ensure the provision of needs to confront the virus.

He then thanked all the medical staff for their heroic efforts during the COVID-19 crisis.
