In an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19 virus in São Paulo, the Governor of the state, Joao Dória, issued a lockdown under a ‘Red Phase’ that started on the 15th of March and will go on till the 30th of March.
The effect of the lockdown can already be seen at Largo Treze, a commercial area, where many stores are closed and with empty streets which used to be crowded with a lot of people buying stuff.
However, a few commercial places are still functioning with half door opened, disrespecting the new lockdown order by the government as people need to find ways to make money .
Masked people are seen walking around to find opened places to do their shopping.
