Wilson Fittipaldi Jr. made his last lap at the Interlagos Race Track in São Paulo, last Saturday (24) morning where he was honored.

The former Formula 1 driver, who passed away on Friday the 23rd, had been admitted to the ICU since Christmas Day, and also on his birthday, due to complications from a cardiac arrest as a result of choking while having lunch with his family.

The Fittipaldi family tradition marks the history of Brazilian and international motorsport. Wilson Fittipaldi, the “Baron”, father of Wilsinho, as he was known, his younger brother Emerson and Christian, son of the former driver, took the Fittipaldi name to many circuits, categories and titles in the world of motorsport races.

In addition to his brother and son, other drivers, family and friends escorted the Fire Department car where Wilsinho was taken along with a helmet that is part of his career as a driver in an emotional farewell.
