Lula, Protests and Imprisonment
The Ex President of Brazil,Lula da Silva has been the center of attractions in all States of Brazil and around the world.. People were protesting in favor and against until his final surrender to the Federal Police in Curitiba,where he would serve his 12 years plus jail for alleged corruption sentence by Judge Sergio Moro.His lawyers tried very hard to revert this decision and for home not to be jailed but all to no avail.Prior to this,Brazilians went out in the large numbers all over the country protesting for and against his jail and after refusing to surrender meeting the deadline date ,Lula finally gave up and surrendered to the Federal Police on Saturday night of April 7th 2018 and was brought from Sao Paulo to the Federal Police building in Curitiba.There were bomb explosions around the building as pro Lula entered in conflict with the Police.Around 9 people were injured and treated by the foremen.According to Rosinha,leader of the PT in Curitiba,the situation was uncalled for and he demanded explanation..The pro Lula promised to camp ad continue in fromt of the Federal Police building until Lula’s release..
