With the Coronavirus variant in Brazil, Italy blocked flights departing from Brazil and prohibits the entry into Italy of people who have been in that country in the last 14 days.
Italy currently has 13,633 more cases and 472 deaths from Covid-19. The country started its vaccination campaign on December 27 and has already immunized about 1.3 million people, with 36,358 receiving both doses.
In hospitals, patients must do the test before entering to confirm that they are not infected with the virus. For example, in Rimini the Italian Civil Protection has set up a tent to carry out the tests.
According to the new bulletin released by the Ministry of Health, there was a drop in the number of cases and deaths compared to last Friday, when 16,146 positive diagnoses and 477 victims had been recorded.
