Many shops are closed and with few passengers seen at Salvador airport on Thursday (26) in Brazil as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic .
This airport is always crowded with tourists from all around the world during summer season but the situation has been the opposite as the Coronavirus has taken its toll on the city.
Brazil continues to be the third country with the highest Covid-19 cases after USA and India respectively.
Even though vaccines are been developed by some pharmaceutical companies like Pfizer, Moderna and some others, there is still fear of continuous increase of the virus before the effective distribution of vaccines to all and sundry and thus, some governments have decided to apply lockdowns and curfews to help in containing the spread of the virus.
