Carnival in Venice-Italy

Carnival is something everybody thinks is just in Brazil, but that was in the past as you now have carnival in almost some countries other than Brazil.This year, there would be a great carnival festival in Venice starting from February 16th to March 5th with lots of attractions and events; everything from parade to skating, musical shows, ball dance, dinner, theatre, acrobatic display and with the intention of drawing tourists to the place. Venice is a very beautiful city surrounded by water and you see lots of gondolas around.And with this carnival festival, it sort of increases the search for the city by tourists.Some of the events in these days are “Skating in Venice” on Feb 16th, “Festa Veneziana on water” on Feb 17th, “Festa delle Marie-The Parade” on Feb 23rd, and there would be “Best Masked Costume Contest” where participants create and show off their costumes in Piazza Sao Marco and with people’s votes, participant reaches the final on Sunday March 3rd.The registration and participation for this is free.For music lovers, there is “Mestre Carnival Street Show,”on February 23rd and 24th, and from February 28th to March 5th, whereby the city of Mestre will celebrate carnival in the streets, with live music and performers.This will be from 4 to 7.30pm at Piazza Ferretto .
