Oily fishes are known for their health benefit. It is a good source of vitamins A, D, E and rich in minerals like phosphorus, potassium. Thanks to the omega-3 fatty acids its consume has an anti-inflammatory effect, contributes to muscle strengthening, helps to avoid injuries and makes muscles more resistant to oxidation. All of that make these kind of seafood perfect for athletes.
That’s why, on the occasion of “Lima 2019 Pan American Games,” Campomar brand, together with the National Fisheries Society (NFS) and the Food Forever initiative, were present at “Casa Peru,” where they talked about the importance of fish consumption.
Three dishes based on Campomar canned fish were offered there: “Caballa” Hamburger, Tuna “Salpicón” and Quinoa Stew with Tuna. They were prepared by an experienced nutritionist, who made sure the food had the correct nutritional value required by highly competitive athletes.
