About 32 people dead in an explosion at Saratoga Hotel in Havana-Cuba.

A strong explosion that occurred in the morning hours of Friday (06) at the Saratoga hotel, in Old Havana killed about 32 people while 19 people are still missing apart from 64 people hospitalized including 14 minors.

The infrastructure of the hotel facility was notably affected, deaths and injuries are reported, and rescue and damage assessment work continues.

A gas leakage is perhaps responsible for the cause of the explosion which caused a blast destroying cars, buses outside the Saratoga hotel.

The Cuban President, President Miguel Diaz-Canel visited the scene and Hermanos Ameijeras hospital where some of the injured were admitted and lamented about the explosion.
