Soccer has finally had its way in American sport history and also because of the advertisements and the public provided spaces ( FIFA FAN FEST) to watch the last World Cup 2018 that took place in Russia. You could see people; sometimes tourists, rushing to find spots in the Fifa fanfest spaces to see and cheer their countries play in the competition. It was a great deal and a big opportunity to bring people (fans) together for instance,in Maryland and New York among others.Apart from these, many famous players like Cristiano Ronaldo now of Juventus,Messi of Barcelona, Neymar of PSG and teams from Europe,South America are been attracted to play in the USA to boost soccer games and of course, bringing economic revenues to the country. And no wonder, when university of Maryland after a 3-1 victory over North Carolina, the Maryland Men’s Soccer team took on 13th ranked Michigan State in what turned out to be a daunting contest from the home side. On a night of celebration, where Maryland honored its treasured past by inviting the 1968 championship team onto the pitch, the 2018 Terps struggled vs a well prepared and well drilled Spartan side. With goals in each half, Maryland eventually succumbed to Michigan State 2-0 on October 5th, 2018.
A month earlier, on September 12th, 2018,D.C. United, continued its defense of its new fortress Audi Field Wednesday night, with a rallied win over Minnesota United, 2-1. The visitors went up early thanks to a strike from Angelo Rodriguez. D.C. however pulled back level thanks to a setup play from Wayne Rooney to slot Ulysses Segura home. 4 minutes later, Darren Mattocks found the eventual match winner, leaving the Capitol buzzing with playoff aspirations.
