Wind Sculpture at Central Park-New York

Yinka Shonibare,a Nigerian artist based in England, was responsible for the new look at the E 60 St entrance of the famous Central Park in New York. Yinka made a unique sculpture titled “Wind Sculpture” reflecting African culture,color and fabric in it.He is one of Britain`s best known contemporary artist.He went to art school in Britain where he permanently settled in the early 80s. He considers himself as a ” cultural hybrid, a product of complex and layered relationships forged by centuries of global trade,migration,politic and cultural exchange.”The inauguration was made today 6th of March 2018 and would be available for the general public from the 7th till 14th of October 2018.The event was witnessed by many people including Yinka himself,Mrs Olayinka Masha,the CEO of Masha Corporation Inc and other important guests.If you are in New York,it will be a great thing to check it out as you won`t regret doing that.
