Professionalization of Educator in Museums in Sao Paulo
The Museum of Portuguese Languages conducted a roundtable on the 23rd of November 2016 at Soccer Museum Hall of Pacaembu Stadium on Praca Charles Miller,Sao Paulo, with the participation of the followings; Amanda Cuesta, Educator and Supervisor of Educational Actions; Camilo Vasconcellos, lecturer at MAE – USP and Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Museology at USP; And Neide A. de Almeida, Coordinator of the Education Center of the Afro-Brazilian Museum and professor and researcher in reading and literature at IBEAC – Brazilian Institute of Studies and Community Support about the Portuguese Language Museum
The installations of the Museum of the Portuguese Language were hit by a major fire on December 21, 2015, which forced the closure of the space for public visitation. However, the institution is still alive, promoting educational actions and itinerant exhibitions.
