With all tickets sold out two weeks before the match between Grêmio and Flamengo, Arena of Grêmio expects to receive again over fifty thousand people on Wednesday night (02), in which the teams face each other in the first match of 2 games valid for semifinal of Libertadores of America 2019 Cup
Inaugurated on December 2012, in Porto Alegre, Arena of Grêmio is the 7th largest soccer stadium in Brazil, with an inaugural capacity of 60,540 seats, however, for security measures the maximum capacity allowed today is 55,662 people. And its biggest soccer audience was in the Brazilian Cup final, in 2016, against Atlético Mineiro, where Grêmio was champion in front of 55,337 spectators.
The Arena is considered the largest multi-complex in Latin America, where it has hosted several national and international shows. The biggest audience of non-soccer events was at the Coldplay band show in November 2017, where fifty thousand people watched the British quartet during A Head Full of Dreams Tour.
