The Washington Metro organized a song audition contest on June 24th at their Metro building on 600 5th Street NW,Washington DC.It started from 5pm to 7pm and many candidates showed up looking for a chance to perform at the Metro Stations and selected Malls during the summer around the district.In fact,one of the candidates; Roxanne Jarrett,A Jamaican by birth, arrived first at around 2pm and after her performance, she believed,she did well and now waiting for call from the Metro organizers during coming week to know if she passed through or not.
There were many different kinds of singers,musicians and artists, who were at the audtion;presenting different types of music like Reggae,R&B, Jazz and Hawaian to mention but a few..Robb Mapou,
for instance, played and sang Hawaian Music before the 6 judges (two of them were women).Some of the Singers who were below 18years came with their parents;who showed lots of joy and happiness seeing them perform before the Judges..
